We are the Scottish Human Rights Commission. We are called SHRC for short.

It is our job to protect human rights in Scotland.

The right to life and the right to be safe from serious harm

Human rights are rights that every person has.

One example of a human right is the right to be alive.

Another human right is the right to be safe.

We want every person in Scotland to know about their human rights.

We make Easy Reads of all our most important reports.
