The Scottish Human Rights Commission (the Commission) welcomes the opportunity to submit evidence to the new Scottish Parliament’s Scotland Bill Committee in respect of the proposed amendment to the Scotland Bill (the Bill), in particular clause 23 of the Bill (Implementation of international obligations).

The Commission has made a submission on the Limitation (Childhood Abuse) (Scotland) Bill to the Justice Committee of the Scottish Parliament. The Commission supports the bill which take away one of the current barriers to survivors of historic childhood abuse seeking civil justice.
In response to the Scottish Parliament’s Finance and Public Administration Committee’s report on ‘Scotland’s Commissioner Landscape: A Strategic Approach’, Professor Angela O’Hagan, Chair of the Commission says:
