A joint statement in response to the European Union (Legal Continuity) (Scotland) Bill (the "Bill") has been issued this morning by The Scottish Human Rights Commission, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, the Human Rights Consortium Scotland, the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations... enshrining international human rights standards in Scots law.
"The effect of the retention... on Human Rights, whereby organisations from across civil society expressed their united support
of human rights where services are delivered by private contractors.
While each situation is different... for the protection of human rights in public services. The Commission notes the Court of Session’s interpretation of case law on the application of the Human Rights Act in the context of contracted out... clarity in practice, the state (including Scottish public bodies) should make human rights obligations... the human rights issues raised.

The Scottish Human Rights Commission shares the concerns of many that the recent Report from the UK... racism, to their human rights, including in areas such as health, social care, housing and employment....

We will continue that work over... commitment to implementing this and other recommendations of the National Taskforce on Human Rights
The Scottish Human Rights Commission has made the following statement:
