The Right to an Adequate Standard of Living
Poverty is a humanrights issue. It represents a failure to fulfil the right to an adequate standard of living that is established in international humanrights law. The Scottish Government, Scottish Parliament and Scottish public authorities have duties to respect, protect and fulfil this right.
