This project aims to check whether the Coming Home plan is making a difference to disabled people’s human rights. We used human rights measurement, which is a way of checking how well human rights are happening in real life. It takes the ideas of human rights and turns them into things we can count or look for. It shows what is being done and what is not being done.
We did this in two ways:
The Commission has published a BSL Plan for 2018-2024 setting out how it will promote the use of BSL in its work. This is also available in BSL on Youtube.
The Scottish Human Rights Commission and Nourish Scotland are today (Friday 22 November) launching...:
“Everyone in Scotland has the right to food – this is set out in international human rights laws... means in practice, and how we can make sure it is a reality for everyone.
“It’s important... and social rights, which also includes our ongoing contribution to the Scottish Government’s National Taskforce for Human Rights Leadership.”
