The Scottish Government today (12 December) published its proposals on Scotland’s Place in Europe. The Commission welcomes that human rights and social protections are recognised as one of Scotland’s interests to be protected going forward. This commitment to advancing, not weakening, human rights protections must now be carried forward by both the UK and Scottish Governments in whatever changes are to follow.
