The Scottish Human Rights Commission has today laid its fourth Strategic Plan at the Scottish Parliament, covering the period 2020-2024.

The Plan sets out four strategic priorities for the Commission's work over the next four years. These are:

  1. Progressing understanding and strengthening legal protection of economic, social and cultural rights
  2. Strengthening accountability for meeting human rights obligations
  3. Building wider ownership of human rights
  4. Advancing best practice locally and sharing our learning globally

The Strategic Plan was developed following consultation and engagement with the Commission's stakeholders throughout 2019.
