Acknowledgement and Accountability Framework Presentation

In 2009 the Scottish Government invited the Commission to develop recommendations for a human rights framework for the design and implementation of a proposed Acknowledgement and Accountability Forum for the survivors of historic abuse.

Chair of the Commission, Professor Alan Miller, presented these recommendations at the 'Time to Be Heard' Consultation in Edinburgh on 9 February, 2010. You can read the presentation in Word format (large print).

You can read more about the recommendations from the Commission, and the full report on this page, which also has links to an independent analysis of international human rights law on acknowledgement and accountability in historic child abuse and an independent research paper based on interview with survivors and focus groups.
