Scotland is a place where people pride themselves on being fair. We want to build on that tradition to make contemporary Scotland a place where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential as human beings and play a full part in society.
2009 is the year of Scottish Homecoming. The Commission is working with a wide range of partners to help put human rights at the heart of arts and cultural events across Scotland. Further details of these are available on our Events page.
The Commission is also developing a Cultural Strategy to maximise the support we can offer to those who want to bring human rights to life through their involvement in many varied forms of cultural work including film, drama, art, writing and music.
