Alison Hosie
Alison is the Research Officer at the Commission. She has over a decade of research experience in the field of health and social policy, first with Newcastle University’s School of Geography, Politics and Sociology and then as an independent research consultant. She has a BA in Social Policy and an MSc in Medical Sociology. Her PhD in Social Policy focused on a comparative exploration of the impact of social policy on teenage pregnancy in Finland and Scotland. She has researched a wide range of topics with a particular interest in young people’s right to health care and pregnant and parenting teenagers’ right to education.
